the Archmagi represent the pinnacle of magical
power. Weaving their intricate enchantments,
these crotchety old wizards are called upon to
defend humanity with all the magical powers at
their disposal. Mounted atop their trusty steeds,
the Archmagi brandish ancient staves that serve
to channel their fierce energies in battle. Though
gruff and slightly aloof, these experienced
wizards are a heartening sight upon any
battlefield where the fate of humanity lies in
peril.
The Archmage is very easy to kill. Like the
Undead Lich, the Archmage can be killed in 1-2
turns when surrounded. Always keep the Archmage away from the enemy and run whenever melee units attack or attempt to
surround him. Players with poor control will find
they lose the Archmage a lot when facing good
players.
This Arcmage is a kind of Hero!

What should a archmage do, more than a mage?

Based On Warcraft Game --> Arcmage can summon Water Elemental and Blizzard.
…
Water Elementals are great but they can be
dispelled. Some races can easily dispel Water
Elementals such as Night Elf Dryads using
"Abolish Magic". Water Elementals also give the
enemy Heroes good experience. When you
suicide Water Elementals into an army or use
them to scout they just hand over big chunks of
experience to the enemy Heroes. Water
Elementals can be very good warriors however if
the enemy is not dispelling them.
…
Blizzard is useful against large packs of enemies,
especially in team games. Blizzard is very useful
against low hit point units such as ranged units
including spells casters. A Blizzard can easily kill
a large group of Archers, Swordsmen,Pikemen, or Ghouls.

Why don't you take a look at existing spells? A mage shouuld have the same spells plus enhanced spells compared to a mage

It usually isn't hard to kill an Archmage unless it
is a large team game or the player is VERY good
at controlling him. Simply surround and kill with
melee units or ranged units.
if this topic is have not balance, or something wrong, Post some replies to correct it. thanks

What i mean. Archmages might also be just upgrades of the normal human mage that receives new spells and better stats but retain all the previous powers they already had

About the blizzard, I think so: it will have a strong attack, but all units ( besides flying units ) may "Step on " as a on bone, and thus to dispel blizzard. Also blizzard will have bonuses against flying units
P.S. Also, he does not take damage from the all units
Stats blizzard
Hp: 1
Attack 20(area damage)
Range: 2(engulf)
Armor: 0
P. Armor:0
Move: 4
Spell resist: 0%
Bonuses: all flying units 100%.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and occurred to me to add an archmage could be the update of the magician or a new unit with several spells like invoking a water elemental
Here I leave the imagen of the archmage

I would go for new unit to fill mage's hut building with actual magicians and
possibly give humans new options. Also nice image

Well I thought since this is a very powerful magician could invoke a dragon, but the dragon would be a technology that would hace to be bought

If you can only train one, what happens when it dies? Can it be trained back, or does it die for the entirety of a game?
Btw, the idea of regiments of renown sounds awesome

Ehternal damnation yes gives armor but makes unit immovable and unable to counter. Aslo can be casted on your units as well to save.
