This is just a image. You can give it stats and give it to a race fraction

This can't be used in game since an image of a human foot unit should fit 32x32 pixels

Also this look is too cartonish and don't blend well with the current style

My suggestion is the one I followed when I started.

Try editing existing units and you will learn how to make new units

Where do I get the existing units from?

And why do some many ideas get taken from warcraft? I feel like AOF originality is losing some

Don't blame myself.
Warcraft is the game with biggest lore (even diablo series, titan quest and heroes series together have in total less lore) and ofc many unit images can be inspired by it.

I will since you can't stop with demanding images to look like ones from Warcraft. We talked about this.

I noticed that too.

I like a lot the Warcraft series (I started playing it with the first rts game and was probably the first fantasy game I played) but Warcraft has many units and races that aren't a generic fantasy but are specific of their setting (which is peculiar).

I generally prefer lotr and forgotten realms as a first reference (it doesn't mean that other settings can't be considered but they are a much more expanded setting than Warcraft with all the books and manuals you can find).
