I've noticed your having problems with finding a powerful flyer for elves. Would a Roc interest you?

Too close to eagles. Also eagle riders seem like the best option to me anyway.

Correction, the Roc is much bigger then an eagle. That would be like comparing a wyvren with a dragon. The dragon is much bigger then the wyvren but both can do somewhat the same thing.

So a stronger eagle as far as game mechanics go?

Yes basically.
Consider it this way:
Rocs were known to sink ships, and carry off prey the size of an elephant with ease. A giant eagle can't do that.

Besides if it doesn't get exepted to elves I'll probably give it to the Gnolls and then you'll have some real problems on your hands with a boss flying unit. At least with elves we won't have such a bad problem with it.
