SATYR
Satyrs resemble slightly stocky humans with furry lower bodies and cloven hooves similar to
that of goats. There are no female satyrs,
forcing them to mate with other species
(typically humanoid) in order to reproduce.
Satyrs have pointed ears similar to an elf, and
horns that vary from small stubs about two
inches long to large and curled ram's horns that
protrude about two feet from their head. Their
hair ranges from the more common brown to
hues of reddish orange and the rare white. They
usually sport bushy beards, or at least a goatee.
Satyrs' eyes are usually blue or brown, however
some satyrs have yellow eyes that resemble a
goat's.

based on i read, it can kick the head and the chest of enemies to make a serious damage, can convert also and make enemies feel asleep in 2 turns (can't move and attack)
Abilities:
-Sleep Spell: Cannot Move And Attack Enemy (2 Turns)
-Convert: Convert Enemies (Weaker than Priest(10% Weaker Convert Possibilities than Priest)).

Yes, i tought something similar (since they might have powers that are bard-like using a pan flute)
Generally units that convert aren't particularly strong, so for elves it wouldn't make much sense either, so i would just make them a spellcasting unit.
Even tough the text says that there aren't female satyr i see that the image is a female. I prefer them having females too (i think it changes by setting) and we might make 2 differen units:
1) Satyr Charmer. Female image, control spellcaster with charm (convert) and sleep (disable a unit for one turn).
2) Satyr Charger. Male and with bulkyer build and bigger horns. It is an infantry unit that have a special ability called charge: The charge ability makes you choose a free walkable tile in a cross range 3 or 4 and you hit the unit in the tile next to you for double damage. The satyr charger don't receive counterattacks and is disabled the next turn.

Satyrs are one of the most cool races i ever encountered in a fantasy setting.
I call the flames of Assyrian to revive this post from it's ashes.

Maybe they could be 4 styles:
Satyr scout - cheap, 1 turn units for quick defense and quick scouting.
Satyr braveheart - heavy satyr with a mace.
Satyr minstrel - your flute player.
Satyr stalker - blow dart gun, makes use of poison.
I'll make topics for each.

I think it's fine with 2 to have role n place to other out race creature's.
(unnecessary to have more than 1-2 from a race ally)
(Elfs Archer is good for early scout.range and Sight)
And pure scout there are faries
Dryad is good poison Archer
