How about at least changing there body colour so they do look that much like the AoF snakemens? Otherwise good.
Also the tech to unlock them needs some sort of image too.

I suggest green with some strapes. Or maybe black. But that would blend with the armor so maybe better not.

I can do it in the way that there is 50% chance to spawn the green ones and 50% to spawn the black ones when producing the same unit. Same stats, just different images.
