Peasantry (Auxiliary-like Production) IMPLEMENTED

Old Idea:
Peasant upgrade line, small boosts to stats 4 turns each

Scythes' blade gives peasants more penetrative power than wooden forks. Also allows players more variation for farmers.

Boost: +1 atk, hp

War Scythes, like a scythe but with a straighter blade lining up with the polearm. This allows slicing and puncturing, giving them more defensive options.

Boosts: +1 atk, +1 armor

Images should be easy, just replace peasant's weapon.

In the peasant image forks are clearly metal.
And they give him 4 power - the same as spearman, but without any bonuses.
Scythe without any blacksmith modification is pretty much incapable of doing any damage, so it cannot be that image.
Real scythe used for war was shortened, flattened and attached vertically at straight pole - thus forming war scythe.
It's most known usage was various peasant revolts.
The term however should be Scythemen.
They could get + power (maybe only up to 5, to not be better than gisarme), hp and bonus against mounted (+50%-100%), but no armor.

Yes, I know what war scythe looks like, I proposed it. It was used most notably in Polish uprisings against Cossacks.

I also proposed the plain scythe because it'd be cool to show agricultural tools among the peasantry. Hay stacking and hay harvesting tools.

If it's for diversity sake then there is still hoe, woodcutting axe, grain flail, shovel - they all make better weapon than scythe.
I have seen real agricultural scythe from 15th century - there is no way it could be used efficiently. It would be worse than simple wooden stick or wooden forks. The blade is paper thin and set in weird way to allow cutting move from outside to yourself and blade curve doesn't allow side cut, nor top one.

I've seen demonstrations of people using scythes to puncture right through ivan heads, while a pitchfork with its curved prongs hardly got through skin layers. At least, without finding the correct angle (it can only be swung vertically to get a prong in).

It's great idea.
It could be random among:
Pitchfork - original - 5 hp, 4 power
Stone thrower - 4hp, 2 power, 3 range.
Hoe - 7 hp, 3 power.
Grain Flail - 5 hp, 3 damage, ignores armor, weakened flail bonuses (vs siege, shield weilders, heavy melee, heavy cavalry).
Makeshift Morningstar - 6 hp, 4 power, weakened mace bonuses (vs structures, siege, heavy melee).
Woodcutting Axe - 5 hp, 5 power.
Shovel - 5 hp, 4 power, 4 mend rate.
Wooden spear - 5 hp, 3 power, +200% vs mounted.
War scythe - (the most elite one) - 8 hp, 5 power, +40% vs light infantry, + 160% vs mounted.

Awesome, peasantry was originally supposed to be auxiliary type units.

I will change the title right away!

What about regular scythe?
Do we make it 3 dam, +100% vs light infantry and ranged?

With 5 hp? Sounds good to me.

My proposition for the whole pack (it was made in hurry).
Any decent graphical corrections are welcomed.

Scythe is made by Puss_in_Boots.

Spear, pointier.
Throwing position improved.

And remember peasants are affected by tight fabric tech that gives them some armor

Would it be too much to give them a donkey mount with 4 speed, 8 hp and 2 dmg %50 on archers?

Why donkey?
Many richer medieval peasants had horses.
They were just horses used for pull - slow, untrained - not very good for battle.

No. You misunderstood.
In the pack means I'm getting it ready to send to dev. Commonly I gather some more material to prepare proper update pack.
So, it's not in the dev version yet.
But everything is ready and working in my version, so in the next few days it'll probably be in the dev version.
