Barbican/ Gate Upgrade

Barbican is a turret above a gate usually used to guard the entrance of a walled town.
This is an upgrade that will give gates attack and range
It should take 4 turns to research from research center building
Gates will have 3 range and 5 atk.

I actually wanted to implement gate upgrade, with garrison ability (don't remember if planned to gave it attack), which is gate with gate house added.
I even made an image, but got stuck on graphical engine being incapable of processing occupied state along with units join (with walls/ other gates).
Maybe I'll just ise this image for that.

They look great, although it would look better if occupied image had joining properties.
1 capacity with no attack is fair enough.

A garrison sounds good.The mechanic should be like
It can hold 3 units(archers/skirmishers only) but if there's no unit inside the turret won't work
Or just like a tower it can automatically shoot?

So in castle gates there were sometimes areas for archers to shoot at people who got to close this tech could allow for an archer to be garrisoned in the gate to shoot enemies (though at a short distance like 1 tile)

Actually either I don't know how to make it or I must have misunderstood some info from stratego.
Because it seems to me, that there is still no way to use joinx and occupation image at the same time.
