How does one detect invisible units the best way and effective way?

Yeah, this was really a question in the "Subject". How do you detect invisible units? Don't watch-towers do that? Thanks if you viewed this btw

I use scout because it only cost 1 turn.

Scout bird, spy, assassin, and all invisible units. Some of upgrades also can but I forgot.
