They grow insizes so they can handle more injuries to there body adapting getting tougher and larger by the minute.

Actually not a lot of insectoid vehicles "grow" - most of them are mechanical.
Actually, I have an idea like that but effecting infantry instead. Called it "improved genome" , maybe growth is actually better?
