this could be a different unit with higher stats and more expensive, obviously

Maybe just make change royal longbowman name to "heavy longbowman" or "elite longbowman", and use that as an upgrade

Unless you want some variety for longbowman, as it is one of England's special units

description of the skirmisher cateogyr: ranged unit specialized on hit and run tactic. they have low armor but high pierce armor

Why like skirmishers? They also fought on the battlefield and were known to be effective against decently armoured men.
