There were riflemans, the most accuarate unit of those times (napoleonic wars)
Snipers with scopes are later

I thought we already have those? Aren't the light army supposed to have a role like that? Well, not sure.

Light infantry should be a bit like skirmishers imo

not all light infantry were riflemen, when rifle apeared, muskets were replaced only for elite skirmishers

Should sniper be a single unit in img ?
A sniper in napoleonic wars should be cool to have, some snipers should have camouflage ability .

here u have, their history starts at modern warfare, napoleonic wars were early modern warfare.
drejade has already made sprites for green jackets (english riflemen)
actually their name was not snipers, they were skirmishers, marksmen, riflemen.
the first sniper rifle was the whitworth rifle and it was developed at 1850s out of the game concept timelap, so proper snipers wont be added
early ways of marksmanship will be added like longmusketmen(long musket was a development from america) or riflemen (rifle marines, riflemen, green jackets)
these will be very elite units. at least 3 cost jejeje

Well... That means snipers will be only in the end of upgrade tree... And only in some campaigns like American revolution and Napoleonic wars...
