Huscarl seems weak as opposed to his Hellenic counterpart, the Spartan hoplite

• Both cost 6 turns
• stats for spartan exceed huscarl even with smithing techs applied
Huscarl has -3 att, -1armor, -2 p armor.
• huscarl is only available in Nordic hall wheras Spartan can be recruited from both TC and barracks

Ohw why is he so weak?
Maybe reduce cost to 5?

No, he doesn't have armor break

Just checked... Huscarl does NOT recieve smithing upgrades at all.

I didn't expect to huscarl to be so weak. I'll probably won't even use him.
He should have his cost reduced to 5 or make him somehow similar to a hoplite .

Huskarl has full counter ability. With such defensive and attack stats that changes a lot.
He is affected by sword mastery and was supposed to be affected by infantry armor, but somehow it's bugged and currently he gets cavalry armor bonuses.

Did it update? As of RN, I researched infantry armor and sword mastery and the huskarl was affected by neither.

I wonder who would win in a 1v1 A spartan or huskarl.

Just now I checked in game. It is affected by sword mastery and cavalry armor.
As for their one on one battles:
Without blacksmith:
Huskarl takes 7 damage, 1 on counters, hoplite - 3 and 3 on counters. Hoplite starting would win with 13 hp. Being attacked first - with 10 hp.
After 1st lvl of blacksmith:
Huskarl takes 6 damage, 1 on counters, hoplite - 4 and 4 on counters. Hoplite starting would loose with huskarl having 4 hp. Huskarl attacking first - wins with 9 hp.
After full blacksmith:
Huskarl takes 5 damage, 1 on counters, hoplite - 5 and 5 on counters. Hoplite starting would loose with huskarl having 8 hp. Huskarl attacking first - wins with 13 hp.

So blacksmith really is essential to the game.
It changed a lot with blacksmith, he looks strong. Can't wait to try It out in a battle.
