Voodoo Shaman

Hello again, i have another idea for undead,
this time is a sorcerer.
Witchcraft shaman or Voodoo shaman is quite simmiliar to necromancer who can revive the dead n make them into their puppets, but this unit has a different way to obtaining puppets, namely by cursing the target through the medium of the puppet provided that certain body parts belong to the target ( eg. blood, flesh, hair,etc.) then he burns it n puts it in the doll's body where he has cast a black spell,n then he can easily control it ( a kind of converter ability ), this unit is different from its fighting style, if a lich or necromancer needs its own puppet to survive enemy attacks, n needs to fight from back-line, this unit is able to survive by consuming its own puppet or nearby unit to regain strength.
Voodoo shaman is actually humans who devote themselves to the demons to get magic that is unmatched in their time by selling his soul, namely black magic.

Skill,
psve : see stealth unit
actve :
- Unholy pact, sacfice a unit to gain heal equals to it, rng 1, no cool, instant on self, required a unit around it
- Despair in the dark, cursing the target into a nightmare, causing them to suffer 4 damage over 5 turns, rng 4, no cool, instant on target, required a target he has injured, ignoring target's mental resistance, can't be disenchant, additionaly when an infected unit dies it will turns into a zombie.
Bonuses; Standard bonus as Infantry + special bonuses to devine by 100% (+10)

The part were it requires target to be injured might be too difficult to do, I might just suggest it to have the ability to reanimate zombies, savage zombies, or revenants
(not all of these of course) from fallen enemies.
Also voodoo witches used quite a bit of curses so you might expand on the idea by using those for example:
Hex - not sure yet, but it's an idea
Silence - cancels enemies spellcasters abilities (or just lowers their ability rng to 0)
Shroud - turns ally or self invisible
Summon revenant- requires corpse- powerful and fast undead
Summon stone guardian - requires sacrifice, rng:4, basically it's a statue given life through dark magic, much like a puppet. (Would look more like a predatory animal then a giant huminoid)

The voodoo theme is definitely fit for undeads but in general I dom't know if we should consider it a shaman or an arcane caster.
About the unit's spells I would make it actually themed on the voodoo theme (so something like debuffs made by using a voodoo doll and some peculiar undead's summon).

Hexing, cursing, voodoo dolls, silencing, and the golem thing and zombie thing are actually all apart of voodoo. The golem thing requires a sacrifice though in order to use, and the zombies are no more then puppets but we could discuss what form of summons they could have.
Totems and the such might be considerable as well.

well I also think so, so what if the part that needs the unit that he attacked is replaced with a unit that has been cursed either by him or by any source (for example a friendly unit / unit from a comrade party that has the ability to curse), of course this unit will have 2 curse abilities; 1 regular curse (ability from mummy), and 1 special curse from him (despair in the dark ability), then the part where he has the title
which 'shaman or arcane caster' the warmage better bears, my opinion is more of shaman or witchcraft

I'd say it's a arcane caster.
As for abilities, I don't think we have the function were this unit can only curse units already cursed, so let's just let it's ability usable like the others.

By the looks of the image you provided, it seemed like this unit was more like the orcs warlock rather then the humans warmage.
Might try removing it's bonuses and maybe making damage and hp be similar to that of the necromancer, but give it about the same number of spells as the warlock.

I don't want to add other lifelink spells on undeads as we are using other means of healing and to resurrect units.

It is still human, but I doubt elves or humans (the good ones) use skulls and bones. Also I doubt they carry heads with them too.

Btw, in general I think that this units should definitely be a pure caster, not a warmage-like unit.

I mostly agree but some kind of means are a taboo for certain races (e.g. necromancy).
