I mentioned this nation already in some othere threads, here the explanation

They're thought as infantry-based nation, while most of the other nations seems to be more tank-, ship- or plane based. As a second point, they're an addition for the lonely eastern block.

Historical they're based on the communist local fighters against the Nazi invasion, partly described in http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partisan_(military)

We should also add the Molotov (became fame when the Fins destroyed ~80 sowjet tanks without losing much manpower) as the default AT weapon. The partisans are also very good saboteurs. The biggest problem'll be the lack of good planes (even when supported by the sowjet union)

Ok that makes sense now. Thank you! So they are kinda sorta like the French resistance? Maybe we should base their units off of the USSR?

The infantry should clearly be deffirent from USSR. But the tanks & vehicles can be modified USSR versions

Partisans and resistance fighters should have only infantry units that can sabote enemy production and fight againist enemies.

Perhaps we can make a partisan/guerrilla unit for them?

The partisans shoud be specialists in the woods with a bonus on defence while standing in a forest

partisans are people who are not accepted into the army, but they are conducting military operations. And they are not a separate nation)
