A chain of fortifications built over a body of water to protect harbours and deter enemy ships.
Stats:
Hp: 54
Attack: 6
Range: 0
Armour/Pierce Armour: 6/15
Bonuses: 400% Ships
Inconvertible, First Strike, Full Counter(, Impassible?)
Builders: Elite Workers (Workers maybe?)
Categories: structure, (new one?)
A Sea Gate lets in own units, doesn't attack, and has less armour/pierce armour

Category could be structures similar to gates

A full counter structure like frisian Horse? Sounds good

Building over water need ground till builder reaches the spot. So? Builder cannot mend or construct while in transport. So need Bridge till exact position maybe¿#
Or need further coding#(further citation req)

Keeping it near harbour or coast is similar to gates without counter

Hmm...
To clarify, I suggested two units, the Naval Fortification and the Sea Gate.

Okay, a marine type of frisian horse sounds cool.
Btw impassable means both enemy and ally units can't pass through.
However to use this structure effectively I think we need a worker ship.

Yes, the naval fortification is impassible and the sea gate is not.

Naval fortifications are perfectly possible, as far as some realistic approach is made.
There was never any structures on the sea.
Structures known as naval fortifications were coastal or built on rocks.
As for sea gate - if you mean harbor gate - it would be part of harbours building.
The only thing known for being used on more open water areas was boom.
Boom is a chain spread close to the water surface - a little submerged if it was meant to be hidden and a little over surface for known closed passages (e.g. binged down if toll is paid). To effectively use such thing there were boom towers build - buildings containing spare chain length and mechanisms to easier loose/tight it.
So such boom could work like a gate.
The problem is again with bringing it in the game.
I have some ideas, but they all create some unwanted uses.
If boom tower would be buildable on ground it could have "release boom" ability, which would summon boom to selected water tile.
Each boom could have one-time ability to summon another boom (to create a line).
The problems comes with:
- Such way of single-use summon still has no end - another boom could be summoned indefinitely.
- Destroying towers or some parts of boom can leave it in the middle, without connections.
- It's not very easy to understand how it works - it's unnecessarily complicated.
The other solution is simple - create few versions with different sizes, e.g. 1x1 , 2x1, 3x1, 1x2, 1x3.
It could be set to be only buildable completely on water.
It would on the other hand have disadvantage of no diagonal versions (at least I have no idea how to make it) and it much more work to implement.
There is also still issue of potential non-ended chains.
Anyway - both ideas have some issues and I'm not sure it is viable to be even be made with current engine limitations.
