Unit description : Sparabara(Shield bearers), were the front line infantry of the Achaemenid Persian Empire. They were mainly equipped with a large rectangular wicker shields as a form of light manoeuvrable defense. They were the backbone of the Persian army who formed a shield wall and used their two-metre-long spears to protect more vulnerable troops such as archers from the enemy. They have a great defense against arrows but can be easily eliminated by using melee attacks from cavalry and infantry.

Lighter shield color and the body of the spear is now wooden.
