If accepted I planned to also make 2 new docks for orcs so they have one for merblins, merlocks, and Mertrolls. Basically it works as a downside being that you need to build seperate docks to get certain units.
I believe in D&D they are referred to as scrags as I just read from one source.
Here's some examples though I have my own design in mind.

Wait so they will burn while swimming in water?

I was considering that they would take bonus damage from electric source's as a alternative to that, but that's if others want that. Plus suffering from larger speed reductions from those source's like -2 instead of -1 speed.

I was already thinking about a water counterpart for trolls but maybe they could be more vulnerable to poison instead?
About speed I think they can just get 3/4/5 as water speed and a progression of other speeds similar to the one of land big trolls.
About the building I think that the swamp dock is fine to train all of them (like the shaman's hut can train all casters regardless the race, that can recruit all the water units regardless the race).
Anyway I think it is something that can wait for some time because I want to focus on other race's navy and water fortifications for every races before adding these.

I fully agree with the last statement.
However, vulnerable to posion? Wdym? All living creatures are affected by it.

Then perhaps we can start with something less powerful first like a harpoonist variant similar to the axe throwing troll. Just for starts and to get the weakness to poison thing in order.
Poison could do double the damage I guess.

Maybe more since they have regen and poison don't stack

3 times then? Or 4?

I was thinking 4 or 5
It also depends on the fact that poison archer will have or not bonus against them.
I think that 20/turn is a good amount (they have regen 15% though, so wemight need a higher amount).

I thought you were talking about big ones. I like the idea of the sharktale.

I'll change the topic header to the Mertrolls in general.
Anyway I was meantioning the harpoonist variant for starts a few posts back because you wanted to hold off on the bigger ones till the other races got their costal defenses and the such.
Here I decided to design them to look like deep dwelling creatures, living in underwater crags and the such hence the glowing dots and the like.
Also I planned for this unit to be able to throw a net to prevent it's prey from moving or acting similar to curse but lasts 1 turn.

I want to hold them in general, but anyway make some tries.
I also have some ideas in mind so I might make some tries later.

Updated one more time to give the impression that they live in the underwater crags of the sea. Also for the master form I took the colours from the sea serpent and used them on the armour.

This one was difficult. I just couldn't decide what weapon to go with it.

Should I change this units stance? I can post the template without the weapon if you want to see it fully.
