how about adding NKVD Russian infantry to the 101st Americans and German SS soldiers

the only difference from the 101 US infantry is that it must be launched by C47 planes but they are more powerful in defense than normal paratroopers

SS and NKVD units mustn't be in game, there was already an idea for them but no. Simply rename them to speical operations brigade as your topic name suggests.

because?

because having "Waffen SS" or "NKVD" in the game will cause a controversy, besides neither of these were actually truly elite. Both of them were kinda just policemen or militia forces. (tho the Waffen SS was kinda elite in the early stages of the war, but the lost that status in 1940 or 1941. This altough doesn't mean that they may be in game)

Russians could be called red guards or something, and Germans could be called stormtroopers.

I think so (the Soviets must be more powerful in defense since they wore a kind of armor)

The Soviets already have a Guards unit. Besides "Red Guards" are Maoist militants/pramailitary groups.
