I was apparently able to carry another ent demolisher within my ent demolished,
This was with current version, I did this by simply getting the parapet expansion techs and getting 2 ent demolishers and having one carry the other.

Ent demolishers shouldn't have a carry capacity in the first place. I will fix it in next version.

I thought ent demolishers and ent warriors were supposed to be affected by the parapet upgrades? The ent warriors can carry units too however it is very limited.

As far as I know, the Ents who throw stones can carry other similar Ents, thanks to which you can load Ents into each other to make a kind of matryoshka from Ents, if you get confused, it turns out that when you kill one Ents, another will be in its place when you kill 2, in its place there will be 3 and etc.

No only ent warrior should have that.
Also alex please check armored woodshaper. This one also should not have carry cap.

I played two islands skirmish against ai, my units can enter ent warrior.

then I played tight spot, they can enter ent demolisher, but not ent warrior. I even started a new skirmish (first one was older) and had the same bug. how can that be?

Ehh... I sometimes feel like this games are actually depended on magic and not code.


It's definitely not based on map. There must be some other condition that was different. Maybe techs you had researched?

Demolishers in dev version are fixed. Now we need to check a bit later ents specifically.

I will test it. but tbh, I had treetop archery 1 researched on both. does ent toughness change anything?

I have the same notion

Ent toughness increases health by +5% (for now, later will be changed to fixed value) and melee armor by +2 for ent demolisher and ent warrior.

I mean if it changes anything in regard of carry. Thank you.

in the game where only demolishers can carry, I have

Update, now ent warriors and ent demolishers can carry troops.
ent demolisher can carry warrior, but not vice versa.

it is the same game were it was demolishers carrying only at first

Ent demolishers are no longer affected in dev version from treetop archery techs thus this is fixed for newly trained ents when version will be released.

Now it again doesn't work in a game where it used to work and doesn't work in a multiplayer game. A pity.

it's getting weirder and weirder. my ent warrior can carry a elf warrior (spearman) but not a wizard. isn't that weird?

For now elf wizard is not in list of carriable units by ent warrior thus it is not a bug but later she will be carriable.

anyway topic is set as implemented.
