Fire Setter

Unit description: A soldier in charge of dealing with buildings via setting them ablaze. It is weaker than normal infantry but has a torch equipped capable of burning buildings and other burnable units e.g. Wagon.
Stats:
Fire Setter
Trained at: Towns, Barracks.
Cost: 2
Hp: 13
Att: 4
Spd: 4
Armor: 0/0
Sight: 5
Passive ability:
Burning weapon
Bonuses:
200% Burnable
Uses: Cheap and an infantry version of the raider. It is a very useful unit when it comes to setting burnables on fire, however weak when it comes to a fight between other units e.g. Swordsman. It is an unarmored unit so it can be easily taken out via archers and cavalry.

Affected by blacksmith infantry upgrades.

Categories:
Light foot melee, anti-burnables.

Should we remove bonuses to light foot melee and just add 50% to burnables?
As I feel stats are weak as of now..

Yep 150% building is perfectly synced with flames. And why do it have foot bonus. Maybe torch could scare some animal right? So it could work on cavalry 50% :ugeek:

The reason I added 50 to LIGHT foot melee is because unarmored units can be heavily burned by Fire. I shall remove it and add a 50 to Burnables.

I think this unit would be a good addition as an early game anti-burnable unit.
Lack of response kinda means uninteresting.

What if this unit has stealth? Kinda like an assassin for buildings.

Reflects how arsonists usually deal damage from within a population, trying their best not to be captured.

Could go hand in hand with a rework of the assassin, maybe cost down to 3 but only being able to destroy living units.

This strays quite far from the original idea but it could work + we already have quite a few units like the raider, fire archer and nordic archer or even the swordsmen who has a similar role while also being good in combat.

Mmm.. Like you said, it is far from the original idea but it can b nice to have it as stealth. ( In Stats i am Reducing unit speed to 3 and add Cannot capture towns, if so). Lit torch can be easily seen though.

But Frankly i'd prefer my arsonist idea, cheap and weak light foot melee with fire damage.

Sorry to put down the flames on this idea, but for me this guy looks like he just won a trip to the dungeon.
And not in any figurative sense - literally.
Excited inexperienced treasure seeker with a sash (probably having written "1st in annual Wondersville luck contest").

Stats seems ok.

As for the name - maybe just very neutral "Fire setter"?

Arsonist would fit nicely with more special stealth unit.

Btw. I remember reading and writing a response quite a while ago - maybe I've had lost the text (sudden login request) and forgot about that.

Yep.
It was for 3 range thrower unit and tech/new unit using long range catapult fire.

This one is for melee.

i'll change it, idk what mostly to change though. I will remove the arm bag (a bag full of spare un-lit torches) and maybe even more.
