Age of Strategy Forums

Lancer is a good unit. It has bonus on almost each category. Its cost is also fair enough.
The point is, the heavy lancer and gendarme each cost 3 to research so the players are using it as an early strategy to keep up the bounds. And the statistical changes are pretty huge when compared to other unit upgrades. So I request to increase research cost as same as archer, cavalry, and swordsman, ie, 4-6. Since the pole arm variants upgrades are much cheaper, i suggest an intermediate 5.

They are balanced. Balanced as Gisarmeman and Halberdiers tech.
they do very weak damage to other units beside cavalry. So both 3 turn techs are ok.
