A dwarf riding on a giant spider holding a mace. Good at killing infantries. Stats will probably be similar to other mounted macemen.

I'm wondering if there are any plans to add spiders to the game for factions? I think spiders are pretty interesting characters. But it seems to me that they are completely unsuitable for dwarfs. They suit either undead or elves.

Moon elves could use them, I had ones planned for undead too but I had to wait till the balance update cause they are going with a new structure along with some other units.

For moon elves we wanted black panthers (reference to wc3) and some flying mount (maybe hippogriff).

I thought they were getting a giant owl?

Anyway, I was referring to them as summons and the such for moon elves.

No, i think new moon elves won't have normal animal summons — because they won't have any nature casters in the first place.

They will have arcane oriented casters and thus if there will be any summons theu will be magical-type based.

I would like the spiders to be someone's sub-faction, because spiders can be divided into categories and sizes, and you can also give them arachnids.

I think for undeads they could fit.
For those human worshippers of undeads.

Maybe not as mounts though.

Usually in fantasy spiders are used by drows (dark evil elves). They might fit a nice nps races to be used mostly as enemies of elves and dwarves.

Spiders i'd say will fit best for undeads.
Not as mounts but for the veil as tamed cute and a bit little too hundgy pets.
