I have the feeling that it a vampire isn't dealt with appropriately, he rips through your entire army. So what are your favourite anti vampire tactics? If am playing elv, the thing I do most of the time is trying to block his way with wolves and shoot him with burning arrows until he dies from burning even if he manages to hit something and heal himself up. and of course, shoot with arrows while In bat form. i haven't tried the thorn elemental with him, I suppose the counter nulls the lifelink.

one good thing is that he has no bonus against buildings .


Magic missile doesn't work as good as it used to be.

I have the feeling, now with the upscale, he is even harder to take down by burning alone. But maybe I'm wrong.

In general I'd go for ranged attacks limiting his contact with any melee unit. He can heal by absorbing wolves as well.

For elves:
Burning, magic missles, melee via heavy elven units (dodge counter helps to avoid lifelink).
Also can help slowing (for now i think it completely stops vampire).

For humans:
Burning, magic missles, cavalry, heavy melee units, flyers.
For magic can help disarmor and slowing.

For orcs:
ORC SMASH!!!

For undeads:
Curse + any melee.

Yes, he can heal by the wolves but at least not too much.

slowing would of course be perfect if you have a druid or woodshaper ready. then you can watch him burn away slowly.

My slow failed now two times, hahah. but he has now 12 burning debuffs on him.

Opened a life hack. Hit him with air units, for example, with a pegasus rider, so he almost does not restore life and does almost no damage.
