One problem I noticed with the game is that the English translation has very poor grammar. I would be glad to fix it, as I am a native English speaker.

which part?
there are these kind of textings
- core textings (that are all the same in all alternatives) like menu texts, help texts, warning and notification texts and such. (all in one xml file)
- theme textings like unit descriptions (all in one xml file)
- map textings (these are part of each map)

all are in different files and in different format.

I think he meant the map textings, but if those are to be fixed, it will be a quite large task.
However, this is not a translation, it is the map maker themselves.
About the missing unit descriptions, I'm still adding them...
