Google again - i can not build any of the alternatives CLOSED

They now (again) changed something in androidx library forcing me to set minimal sdk level to Nougat or upper (android 7 or upper)
but that would mean losing thousands of users having lower android versions...
so i am a bit stucked here...
the net workaround does not seem to work
so i wait a little.
and hating again this whole android development environment
